To prevent ice build up the TGB is built so that the entire instrument is chilled to freezer temperatures of max. -42 °C whereas the other end is held at a constant warmer temperature. Eight temperature sensors along the gradient continuously keep a temperature record of the device. The TGB is build for cold temperature incubations and by its design allows many applications including computer supported operations on the cold stage. The cold stage is equipped with exchangeable units as to leave the maximum flexibility for the experimentalist. A detailed description of the device can be found at Manual.html.

Exchangable units and flexible design:
This unit is designed for innovative experimentation and is therefore held very flexible so that modifications to you experiment are possible. The sample holders can be exchanged at any time and replaced of units of your own devising (example). A second port com 2 on the computer allows you to connect whatever electronic data stream you require to a Windows 98 operated computer that can stream the data directly to the net. You therefore have the option to remotely control your experiment.
