10 years of surface productivity (Sept. 1997 - July 2007). Monthly surface productivity was calculated using the SeaWiFs derived remote sensing reflectance values and applying chlorophyll algorithms developed for the Arctic. Productivity was estimated using a relationship between Chlorophyll and Carbon uptake developed from historic observations collected as part of this synthesis project. All results are preliminary. The data used in this study were acquired using the GES-DISC Interactive Online Visualization ANd aNalysis Infrastructure (Giovanni) as part of the NASA's Goddard Earth Sciences (GES) Data and Information Services Center (DISC).".
