Field Notes 2003

Previous | Home | Next

Here we are at the airport in Kangerlussuaq, about to leave for Thule on May 1. On the left is Kelly Falkner, a professor of chemistry from Oregon State University in Corvallis, OR. She accompanied us on our trip, on her way to field operations with the North Pole Environmental Observatory (NPEO). In the middle is Mike Steele, Chief Scientist for the Freshwater Switchyard project. On the right is Dan Dyer, a master’s student at the University of Washington who was documenting both Switchyard and NPEO operations as part of a video project for his degree.
