This web site contains global sea ice data including thickness, concentration, growth rate, and melt rate. The data are from a Global Ice-Ocean Modeling and Assimilation System (GIOMAS) covering 1970-2005. Creation of the global sea ice data sets is supported by NASA (NNG04GB03G, PIs: Jinlun Zhang and Drew Rothrock) and NSF (OPP0240916, PIs: Jinlun Zhang, Drew Rothrock, and Mike Steele).
